"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is mere tenacity"
For those of you that don't know me yet my name is Lou. I'm a British citizen who relocated from Staffordshire, England to Ohio, USA in 2012. I have been experimenting for quite a while now with lots of different things from bags to banana shaped slippers to blankets to girls' dresses. There's nothing more satisfying than making something for someone and knowing that they use, appreciate and love it.
I adore designing and being creative, and have done from an early age. I think my mom's role as a seamstress and her and my dad’s jack-of-all-trades approach to life (which led them to designing and rebuilding two houses among many things) and growing up around a hive of creativity left an artistic blueprint.
Being creative is quite a different pathway from my previous career in psychology, but I like to think of my self taught designing and handcrafting as a little bit of therapy that keeps me close to home, and all the family and friends I love and miss dearly.
Putting my passion for creativity to one side, I love spending time with family and friends, practicing mindful positivity, watching my daughter play soccer, yoga (Hot Vinyasa), walking, catching the odd music band, a good sewing book, Guatemalan coffee (for those sluggish days), warm days over cold days, Cadbury's Bournville dark chocolate or a Cadbury Flake (the real stuff) and my favorite shops are all those that carry fabulous fabrics, thread, sewing books and furniture that screams "I want you".

"Lou worked with us so patiently and made sure everything was just right before she delivered the final product. My daughter loved the dress, especially the cute purse to match! I enjoy working with Lou, not just because she aims to please, but because she is a genuinely kind and good person. You really can't go wrong working with Lou on your project"
"The dress made for my daughter by Luluke is darling. Made with room to grow, the dress has withstood several washings and much play time. It irons out nicely when it gets wrinkled and it folds or rolls easily when we're traveling. I have gotten many, many compliments on the dress - no one can believe it is homemade. Louise took time and attention to make sure the dress fit and that I was happy with the end result. She even threw in a matching purse for my daughter. We can't wait for our next dress!"
