"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is mere tenacity" Hello,
My name is Lou, a British citizen who relocated from Staffordshire, England to Ohio, USA in 2012. I can remember my very first bespoke bag and falling in love with it. I find nothing more satisfying than making something for someone, listening to their ideas and knowing that they will use, appreciate and love it. I like to source the materials I use mainly from the UK and the USA, using both upcycled fabrics and new, and I adore vintage buttons. The materials I use can range from a pair of curtains or a pair of jeans to tweed or Liberty of London fabrics. I don't mass produce because I like to take my time and pay attention to the details. Putting my passion for creativity to one side, I love a good date on my yoga mat, catching the odd music band, a sewing book, Guatemalan coffee (for those sluggish days), definitely warm days over cold days, Cadbury's Bournville dark chocolate or Cadbury Flakes (the real stuff) and did I already mention my love for vintage buttons? I am also completing a masters in clinical mental health counseling. Please enjoy your visit today and if you have any questions you are very welcome to email me. With love Lou x |
"Lou worked with us so patiently and made sure everything was just right before she delivered the final product. My daughter loved the dress, especially the cute purse to match! I enjoy working with Lou, not just because she aims to please, but because she is a genuinely kind and good person. You really can't go wrong working with Lou on your project" "The dress made for my daughter by Luluke is darling. Made with room to grow, the dress has withstood several washings and much play time. It irons out nicely when it gets wrinkled and it folds or rolls easily when we're traveling. I have gotten many, many compliments on the dress - no one can believe it is homemade. Louise took time and attention to make sure the dress fit and that I was happy with the end result. She even threw in a matching purse for my daughter. We can't wait for our next dress!" |
